Independence Day Traditions!

Good morning everyone and happy Independence Day tomorrow! With everything that's been happening in America lately, Independence Day may have taken on a different meaning for some people. With new laws being enforced, our safety constantly being threatened and neighbor turning against neighbor, its hard to know what we are celebrating this year. Even though this year has blown up in our faces we can still keep our holiday traditions! What traditions do you take part in during this time of year? When I was growing up my family would always throw a 4th of July party that ended in a grand finale firework show! My brother would get hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks and we would invite friends and family over for a barbecue/firework show. I was always a little hurt that my brothers never let me join them in lighting the fireworks, but I was able to partake in the pregame shenanigans that consisted of roman candles, sparklers and bottle rockets. As the years passed, the crowd would become progressively smaller and the fireworks a little less extravagant, but we would still stay up till the early morning hours, drinking, laughing, and enjoying each others company. What traditions do you hold for the 4th of July holiday? Comment below and share your stories! Stay safe and remember to stay at least 6 feet away from your fireworks 😁
